Why New Zealand shouldn’t change the flag?

Twenty six million dollars is a lot of money. Twenty six million dollars is an exorbitant amount of money and it is being wasted on changing the New Zealand flag. The money could be spent on improving houses in New Zealand. Maori and Pacific Islander houses have poor ventilation and they are damp. This causes asthma and other health problems. It affects adults and children’s attendance at school and work. It cost the government more money in Medical costs. Surely you would agree that we could use twenty six on improving Maori and Pacific Islanders houses?

New Zealand has had it’s present flag for decades. People throughout the world recognize the New Zealand flag. By changing the flag,it will confuse people all around the world. people throughout the world will not be sure which country the flag belongs to. The present flag is part of  New  zealand  heritage. Only a fool would want to change the New Zealand flag .

The present flag has the British Union Jack on it. This demonstrates close ties with Britain and their contribution

to New Zealand. By changing the flag,it will be disrespectful to Britain.

In the persuasion I have provided you with adequate reasons as to why New Zealand shouldn’t change the flag. New Zealand didn’t copy Australia. Australia copied us. By changing the flag,it will be disrespectful to our ancestors. Our New Zealand flag was created by Maori Chiefs. I trust that I have convinced you as to why New Zealand shouldn’t change the flag.

Why New Zealand Shouldn’t change the flag?

Surely you would agree that there is no need to change the New Zealand flag. I will provide you with many reasons as to why we shouldn’t change the flag. Most people would agree that we should not change the flag.

The New Zealand flag was created in 1834 by the Maori Chiefs. We created our flag before the Australian flag. We did not copy Australia. Australia copied us. Why change the flag when it’s not torn or broken? By changing the flag,it will be disrespectful to our ancestors. Our ancestors fought and gave their life for New Zealand. Is that how we treat our ancestors?

Our New Zealand soldiers went as peacekeepers to countries like Afghanistan. They carried the New Zealand flag with them. They were proud of our flag because they were representing our country. Those who lost their lives returned covered in the New Zealand flag. This will be disrespectful to their families.

Why animals shouldn't be held in captivity? By Te Aue

In my opinion animals should not be held in captivity.I will provide you with many reasons as to why animals should not be held in captivity.Do  you agree with me that they should be allowed to be free?

Animals are born free and should be allowed to be free.Zoos have no right to keep animals.Zoos are not natural environment for animals because they are placed  in cages or enclosure.Animals are sad,depressed and bored because there is limited space.Animals do not learn how to protect themselves because they are not in their natural environment.How would you feel if you were locked in a cages or enclosures?

In zoos animals are teased and mocked.Although signs are up saying do not tease or mock but visitors do not adhere to the rules.Animals become upset and confused and they can attack you.Throughout the world there have been incidents where animals attacked visitors.In the zoos, visitors throw stones and litter at the animals and the visitors disrespect animals.is this how we treat our animals?

Although the zoos have a breeding program,it is not effective as the natural environment because in the wild there is natural food,adequate space and they are not stressed.In the zoos they have chemicals in the food that affects animals.There is no inter breeding in the natural environment.It has made them stronger,healthy and ensures survival.In their natural environment,the animals are adapted of climatic changes so animals can get stronger for survival. Throughout the world animals are getting threatened by man.

In this persuasion I have provided you with many reasons as to why animals should not be held in captivity.I have already told you that the animals are born free and wasn’t meant to be held in zoos,they are upset and become confused because visitors throw litter and stones.The breeding program isn’t effective.I trust that i convinced adequately as to why animals should not be held in captivity.

I strongly believe that animals should not be held in captivity.I will provide you with adequate reasons as to why animals should not be held in captivity.Would you like it if you were kept in a zoo?

Zoos are not the natural habitat for animals.They are born free, they weren’t made to be kept in a zoo. Therefore zoos should not keep them because they have no right.In zoos animals cannot learn the stuff they are supposed to like how to hunt and fend themselves.Everything is done for them.e.g food and water are provided.They are kept in enclosures, they are bored and restless.When you look at them, they look unhappy.I think it should be illegal to keep animals in captivity.Do you agree with me?

In zoos, animals are teased and mocked even though there are signs that say ’Do not tease or interfere with the animals,’ visitors do not adhere to the rules.Animals become upset, confused and go on a rage  and attack the visitors.Throughout the world, there have been incidents where the animals have attacked the visitors and have caused fatal damage to them.Visitors at the zoo throw stones,cigarettes and litter at the animals.Is this how we treat our animal friends?

Why animals should not be kept in captivity.

I strongly believe that animals should not be kept in captivity.I will provide you with many reasons as to why animals should not be kept in captivity.I will convince you beyond doubt in this persuasion.

Animals are born free so they should be allowed to be free and not live in zoos.Zoos are not the natural environment for animals.Animals are sad,bored and depressed because they only have a limited space which is very small.How would you feel if you were kept in a cage?Also in zoos the animals don’t  learn how to fend for themselves because it’s not their natural environment.

In zoos  animals are teased and mocked although there are signs up that say do not tease and interfere.The visitors do not adhere to the  rules.Animals become upset when you do hand games and can attack you.Throughout the world, there  have been incidents of where animals have attacked visitors.Visitors that go to the zoo's throw stuff at the animals like litter and stones even cigarettes.Also when people throw stones and cigarettes at the animals it is hard for the zoo keepers as they have to keep the cages and enclosures clean.

On Saturday Mum,Dad,Jillian,Todd and I went to Fisherman’s Point for a picnic.It was Grandma’s 60th birthday.

After we picked up Grandma at eight 0 clock,we started the long drive to a magnificent picnic spot.We drove past farms with cows and horses and went over a long bridge over a river.The cows looked bored because the grass was too dry.The horses looked bored because there was nothing to do.As the family went over the bridge,they looked into the water and saw enormous fish swimming around like wild whales.We felt excited because we had never been to Fisherman’s point for a picnic.While mum was driving, everyone was siging songs and Jillian had her head buried into an interesting book.Finally we arrived.The family was excited because the view was beautiful.

Aunty Beth and uncle John and our cousins,Susan and Andrew were waiting for us patiently.We had fun playing games,then we ate lots of cake.They played last card and connect four.When they ate the delicious cake,they felt like enormous fat pigs.They did’nt want to swim because it was to cold.Grandma had a nap after lunch on a fold up chair under the trees.Grandma felt comfortable under the trees.Grandma felt lucky to have such a loving family.At 4 0 clock we packed up the car and headed for home.Everyone all helped to pack up the car.Jillian,Todd,Susand and Andrew were sad because the did’nt want to leave Fisherman’s picnic spot.They did’nt want to leave because that place was the best place they had ever been to.

We all had a great time especially Grandam,who said that she had never napped in such a peaceful place.Grandma had the best birthday in her life.Everyone else had a magnificent day.
